SIK are an American company based in Florida who specialise in manufacturing putters for golf. The company were founded in 2009 by Stephen Harrison, and have brought revolutionary technology to the golf industry. SIK which stands for ‘study in kinematics’ introduced the patented ‘DST’, which is short for ‘descending loft technology.’ The theory behind this technology is that with traditional putters, the loft presented at impact is erratic due to shaft lean, and it’s hard to replicate the same loft every time. With DST, there’s 4 different lofts on the face, and regardless of the shaft lean conditions a player presents at impact, the loft always stays constant. Improved distance control is ultimately the result.
Following teaming up with sales and distribution company ‘Yumax’ in 2021, SIK are now a force to be reckoned with in Europe. As players such as Bryson DeChambeau and Brendon Todd continue to have success with their putters on the big stage, it could be said that the only way is up for SIK putters. The company currently offer 8 variations of putters, 3 of which are arm-lock options, and include blade, mallets, and oversized mallet head shapes.
