When it comes to putters in golf, one brand stands alone at the top of the pile, and you all know which one we’re referring to here. Scotty Cameron is arguably one of the most famous names in golf, and the putters the company design and manufacture are as good as it gets. The company was founded in 1992, but it was way back in the 1960’s when Scotty’s love affair with creating golf clubs began after his Dad showed him how to shape clubheads and apply grips in their home garage. 

 

Putters were made for company’s including Cleveland, Mizuno, and Maxfli in the late 1980’s and early 90’s, and it was in 1992 that Cameron released his first putters. Tour events were visited with the goal of convincing players to use the putters, and it was soon after in 1993 when the big break came. German golfer Berhard Langer won the Masters using a Scotty Cameron putter, and it was from then on that the company was firmly on the map in the golf industry. Since partnering with Titleist in 1994, Scotty putters have been a popular choice among tour pro’s and amateurs all over the world, and that doesn’t look like it’ll change anytime soon.
