Adidas Golf is now mainly a clothing and shoe play since the sale of Taylormade in 2017. They followed a similar route to Nike at a time when golf equipment sales looked to be struggling. However, since Tiger won the masters using Taylormade Equipment and a global pandemic saw the resurgence of golf as an accessible sport for all, they may have jumped the equipment ship to early.
Adidas still have a great presence on tour with their clothing and shoe lines boasting top names such as Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele and Sergio Garcia to name a few. Adidas Golf has continued to develop and innovate when it comes to its apparel and shoes with technologies such as Climacool and 360 Tour XT golf shoes. They have also pushed the boundaries with style using the codechaos branding to introduce bright and stand out colouring to their stable.
Using some of their retro designs Adidas has become a firm favourite among amateur golfers and is up in the elite shoemakers in golf alongside Footjoy and Nike.
