Icebreaker are a clothing company who have gone above and beyond to challenge the norms and perspectives of the clothing industry. Following a chance encounter with a merino sheep farmer, founder of the brand Jeremy Moon had the idea of producing clothing made from natural materials rather than the synthetic alternative, and merino wool was the answer. Between 1995 and now, Icebreaker have went on to impressive heights following great investment and innovation, with the company now also using plant-based and bio-based fibres in their clothing.
Icebreaker apparel is available all over the world and as of 2005 when the company began to offer clothing from ‘top to toe’ following high demand, customers can be fully kitted out in all natural clothing. Merino wool regulates body temperature, wicks moisture and is wearable all year around due to its fibre composition unlike cheap synthetic alternatives. Too good to be true, surely?
