Golf Accommodation

When arranging golfing trips you may focus on getting to the best courses, rather than considering where to stay, each night. It shouldn’t be too low on your list of priorities though because if you choose wisely, you can find some perfect golf accommodation close to the courses and to places of interest.

In The UK

Some of the best courses are closer to home than you may think, for example, how about the Brabazon at North Warwickshire? You can stay in the Belfry, a 4 star hotel which is world famous. The course has hosted the Ryder Cup many times throughout the years and has played home to some unforgettable golfing moments. The European Tour always stops by the Brabazon too, isn’t it about time that you did?

The Belfry is incredible, with its indoor swimming pool, gymnasium, beauty salon and games room. Families are welcome and the hotel has a crèche, along with an award winning restaurant and plenty of pursuits for grown-ups. This is one premium golfing experience which is available at a bargain price too and we found some sites offering Spring specials which included one night stay and 2 rounds of golf for just £99 per person.

In Ireland, it’s a 5 star hotel which is getting our attention. The Marriot Druids Glen, Hotel and Country Club is home to the Druids Glen and Druid’s Heath Courses which respectively have been described as ‘a masterpiece,’ ‘exciting’ and ‘innovative.’ Druid’s Glen hosted the Irish Open in the 1990s and in 2002 it was home to the Seve Trophy.

Druid’s Glen Hotel offers everything you’d expect from a hotel in this class, you can get treatments in the beauty salon, exercise in the gymnasium or relax in the Jacuzzi. After a few rounds of golf you could ease tired muscles with a massage or take a dip in the indoor swimming pool. There’s also a sauna and steam room and the hotel excels when it comes to private dining.

Overall, Marriot Druids Glen, Hotel and Country Club is a wonderful place to escape from it all! The lowest priced deal we found was for £219 per person and it included 1 night’s stay, dinner, breakfast and two rounds of golf.

In the Costa Almeria, Jose Canales designed a brilliant new course and it’s called Valle Del Este. As part of a 4 star golf resort the course is luxurious and has glorious fairways and large inspiring greens. Only 6,255 yards long the course is not the most taxing to traverse but it has been designed by a man who loves to be tested so you’ll find that it challenges almost every golfing skill you’ve got.

The Valle Del Este Hotel has incredible facilities including a beach club, opportunities to take part in water sports and a beauty salon. You can enjoy a massage or spa treatments and lounge in the hotel bar or grab a drink from your own mini bar. There’s also a celebrated restaurant and many beaches to enjoy nearby. We found deals from £112 per person, for 2 nights at half board along with one round of golf.
